The Americans are a bit behind in this aspect with the Cadillac SRX having the highest fuel consumption, but it employs a larger gas tank of 21 gallons to compensate for it. The Lexus RX 350 is the most fuel-efficient SUV here while the Acura MDX follows it with a combined fuel economy of 22 mpg. The Japanese carmakers are known for their frugality and that is the case in this comparison as well. Range (City / Highway / Combined) (miles) The large 19.2 gallon fuel tank aids in providing a pretty decent driving range of over 400 miles of combined driving on a single tank of gas. The EPA rates the 2021 Lexus RX 350 for a fuel economy of 20 mpg of city driving and 27 mpg of highway cruising, while the combined city and highway driving is rated for 23 mpg. The 2021 Lexus RX 350 may not be the top contender in the acceleration tests, but it is one of the most frugal ones in the segment. The Acura MDX although is the most expensive SUV here, and is the quickest of the lot and also has a towing capacity to match the RX 350. Although, it offers the lowest towing capacity in this comparison. The Lincoln MKX on the other hand is only marginally more expensive than the Cadillac but is the quickest of the lot. The 2017 Cadillac SRX is the most affordable amongst the cars present here and is more powerful and quicker than the Lexus but lacks in terms of towing prowess. The Lexus RX 350 has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 lbs. It accelerates from 0-60 mph in 7.3 seconds, while the quarter-mile distance is covered in 15.4 seconds which makes it the slowest car in this comparison. The RX 350 is also not the most powerful in this comparison. Optional safety features include adaptive lighting, a panoramic view camera system and a blind-spot monitoring system.The performance is decent for its class and is nothing exceptional. The system also includes a new lane-keeping assistance feature, and also works with the car’s adaptive cruise control. Other new features on the RX include Lexus’s Safety System+, which combines existing technologies such as pre-emergency braking, lane departure warning and automatic high-beam lights. The range-topping Premier model adds more kit like a colour head-up display, an upgraded 15-speaker stereo system, heated steering wheel and the choice of a sunroof or a panoramic glass roof. Drivers can select from a new Sport S+ mode, too. The F-Sport also gets a new active stabiliser system, which helps to keep the car level through corners, as well as adaptive variable suspension. The car also gets steering wheel-mounted paddles. Higher-spec F-Sport versions also get visual upgrades, including a new mesh for the grille and front bumper, with unique alloy wheel designs and a different instrument cluster. Luxury versions add a larger, 12.3in satellite navigation screen with DVD player, 20in alloys, a gesture controlled bootlid and a wireless phone charger. Step up to the SE, which is the lowest trim available with the hybrid powertrain, and you get auto-dimming mirrors, leather upholstery, heated and cooled front powered seats, ad memory settings for the seat, mirrors and steering wheel positions. The entry-level S model comes with dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, satellite navigation with an eight-inch screen, DAB digital radio, reversing camera and LED headlights.
